Whether the facility chooses to utilize wall suction or a dedicated surgical smoke evacuation system, PenAdapt is a versatile tool in providing hands free capture of hazardous electrosurgical plume. Our new enhancements, available in June 2010, reduce the amount needed space at the tip without affecting the capture of surgical smoke. Additionally, the new universal back end clasp allows the seating of different lengths and diameters of electrosurgical pencils easily and securely. What remains unchanged is the soft pliable tactile feel of the PenAdapt absent of any hard edges or points and a sleek low profile sheath design.
